Materials Planner

About the role

The Materials Planner will orchestrate the supply plan for imported and local raw and packaging materials, ensuring the right quantity is available at the right time and in the most cost‑effective manner. You will work closely with procurement, plant logistics, and supply planning teams to support production schedules and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Define materials planning rules, goals and strategies, including EOQ, MOQ, safety stock, lead times and shipping modes.
• Maintain accurate master data for each material in the SAP system.
• Provide monthly warehouse space analysis and coordinate special handling requirements with plant logistics.
• Generate material plans using MRP based on bill‑of‑materials explosions and forecasted finished‑goods demand.
• Prepare and convert purchase orders for both local and imported materials.
• Monitor material status reports, validate arrival timings with procurement and import teams, and audit production usage.
• Coordinate container vans, deliveries and resolve issues that may affect production.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including supply planning leads, plant operations, and URC affiliates.

Required profile

• Experience in materials planning or supply chain coordination.
• Familiarity with SAP MRP processes and bill‑of‑materials management.
• Ability to analyze inventory levels and forecast material requirements.
• Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
