Material Scientist with Python – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a material scientist with strong Python skills to join our platform as a freelance AI trainer. You will create realistic material‑engineering problems that are used to test, evaluate, and improve AI systems for leading technology companies. The work is project‑based, remote, and offers flexible hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design original material‑engineering problems that mimic real‑world workflows.
• Develop problem statements that require Python programming for calculations, simulations, and iterative solutions.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive, involving numerical methods, optimization, and system analysis.
• Base tasks on actual research challenges or practical engineering applications.
• Validate solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Material Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in applied research, teaching, or industry.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• MATLAB, R, C, SQL.
• Domain‑specific engineering libraries (e.g., materials‑science packages).
• Stata (or comparable statistical tools).
