Marketing Designer

About the role

Optum is seeking a Marketing Designer to join its creative team and produce high‑quality, on‑brand design assets for U.S. healthcare marketing initiatives. Working offshore, you will focus on reliable execution, adaptation, and production of approved creative within established design systems, templates, and brand guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design on‑brand content assets for digital, social, email, SMS, direct mail, thought‑leadership materials, and event collateral using established templates.
• Adapt complex healthcare and product information into clear, accessible visual layouts for U.S. audiences.
• Apply accessibility best practices (color contrast, typography, hierarchy, alt text) in line with WCAG standards.
• Ensure compliance and legal annotations are correctly applied in all design assets.
• Build, maintain, and update reusable templates and component files; keep files organized with proper naming, layering, and version control in DAM/CMS.
• Conduct design QA checks for brand consistency, accuracy, and readability before submission.
• Partner with copywriters and content managers to align visual hierarchy with approved messaging.
• Prepare production‑ready handoffs, including export settings, link/QR checks, and UTM‑enabled assets.
• Collaborate with campaign teams to track basic creative performance indicators and apply feedback for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 7‑9 years of overall design experience, including 3‑5+ years in marketing design.
• Proven ability to work within established brand guidelines, design systems, and templates.
• Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and compliance requirements for healthcare marketing.
• Experience managing files in DAM/CMS and delivering assets for multiple channels.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality assurance and accurate handoffs.
