Maintenance Technician – Building Systems

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on small to medium-sized buildings and their mechanical, electrical and other systems. The role involves routine inspections, troubleshooting, and supporting energy efficiency initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnose potential problems, and execute repairs.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion using available systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring efficient operation of building systems.
• Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, trade school diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–2 years of related experience in maintenance or facilities.
• Ability to meet physical demands such as stooping, standing, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting 50 lb or more.
• Basic communication skills for clear information exchange.
• Organizational mindset with inquisitive attitude.
