Magnetics Engineer II – Design Magnetic Assemblies

About the role

Advanced Energy is seeking a Magnetics Engineer II to design magnetic assemblies for switching power supplies. The role focuses on manufacturability, quality, cost, and performance while supporting factory builds and technical inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts and designs for new transformer constructions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with electrical, mechanical, safety, and manufacturing teams during design conceptualization.
• Provide design engineering compliance, factory support, and standardization of magnetic assemblies.
• Manage alternate sourcing and supplier relationships for magnetics components.
• Prepare thorough documentation on new magnetics technologies and design‑for‑manufacturability.
• Coordinate technology transfer with design teams to ensure successful production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical design engineering (fresh graduates are also welcome).
• Knowledge of CAD programs and basic 3D modeling (Creo/SolidWorks).
• Strong teamwork attitude in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership.
