Legal Services Department Head

About the role

The Legal Services Department Head will lead the company’s legal function, shaping strategy and ensuring full compliance with mining legislation and corporate governance. Reporting to senior management, this role provides high‑level counsel and represents the organization in hearings, regulatory proceedings, and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the legal department’s strategy, policies and procedures.
• Oversee all litigation, arbitration, permits, and dispute‑resolution matters.
• Mitigate operational, regulatory and contractual risks across the business.
• Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and various business units.
• Represent the company in hearings, regulatory proceedings and negotiations.
• Coordinate with external counsel, government agencies and, when possible, perform notarial duties.
• Stay current on mining legislation, industry developments and emerging legal trends.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a current Philippine Bar membership in good standing.
• At least five (5) years of experience as a litigation lawyer, preferably with supervisory experience in a corporate environment.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead legal teams with a strategic, progressive approach.
• Strong track record handling complex disputes and labor cases.
• Willingness to work onsite at the Lepanto Mine Division, Mankayan, Benguet.
