Legal Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Legal Officer to join the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). The role involves providing legal counsel, ensuring compliance with football governing bodies, and supporting the organization’s administrative and project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice, opinions and draft contracts, memoranda, office orders and other corporate documents.
• Monitor dispute‑resolution processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Conduct legal research across all fields relevant to the federation and respond promptly to legal issues.
• Verify that transactions, operations, policies and procedures are valid, binding and enforceable.
• Maintain and secure the integrity of all legal documentation.
• Act as the compliance officer, ensuring adherence to FIFA, AFC and PFF regulations.
• Liaise with external counsel and government agencies on matters affecting the federation.
• Travel outside the office, Metro Manila or the Philippines when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Business Studies, Administration, Legal Management, Secretarial or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a legal or paralegal role (paralegal experience is a plus).
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
