Legal Officer – Corporate & Compliance (Philippines)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Legal Officer to manage corporate and compliance matters for our Philippine operations. The role involves overseeing entity setup, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing legal support to business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee incorporation, maintenance, and day‑to‑day legal affairs of local subsidiaries, ensuring corporate governance documents such as board and shareholder resolutions are complete and compliant.
• Develop, coordinate and continuously improve the compliance framework for Philippine activities, focusing on foreign investment access, data privacy, and labor/employment law.
• Draft, review and negotiate local commercial and investment contracts to support frontline business execution.
• Monitor regulatory and policy developments, conduct ad‑hoc operational risk assessments, and maintain communication with Group headquarters and external counsel.

Required profile

• Law degree and active Philippine Bar admission.
• 2–4 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law, commercial compliance, or M&A/investment transactions.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine company law, commercial compliance, and investment financing practices.
• In‑house experience at top‑tier local law firms or large enterprises preferred; experience in Chinese multinational firms a plus.
• Fluency in Chinese is an advantage.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and optimistic attitude.
