Legal Counsel

About the role
ACMobility is accelerating the Philippines' shift to sustainable mobility through electric vehicles, charging stations, renewable energy and strategic partnerships. We are seeking a Legal Counsel to provide practical, business‑focused legal advice, manage regulatory risk and support commercial and government transactions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, operational and regulatory matters across the business.
- Interpret and apply Philippine laws, regulations and government issuances related to electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, transportation, procurement, energy and public‑private partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, corporate governance standards and internal policies.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks and recommend practical business solutions.
- Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of contracts, including commercial agreements, partnership MOUs, lease agreements, NDAs, procurement contracts and letters of intent.
- Maintain and improve standard contract templates and legal documentation.
- Support business teams in structuring commercial transactions while protecting the company’s interests.
- Engage with national agencies, LGUs, GOCCs and private partners; monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting mobility and energy.
- Prepare legal assessments, policy recommendations and regulatory updates to support business growth.
- Conduct legal research, prepare opinions, position papers and risk assessments; support internal policy development and corporate governance initiatives.
- Provide legal support for strategic projects, new business initiatives and commercial partnerships.
- Coordinate with external law firms and legal consultants; manage service providers to ensure quality, efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. or Juris Doctor) graduate.
- Member in good standing of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
- At least 5 years of relevant legal experience in corporate, commercial, regulatory, energy, infrastructure, transportation or government law.
- Strong understanding of Philippine laws and regulations applicable to the mobility and energy sectors.
- Ability to deliver practical, business‑oriented legal solutions and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
