Legal Counsel for Due Diligence

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to lead due diligence activities for land acquisition transactions. The role involves preparing comprehensive reports, verifying title and tax documents, and ensuring all legal paperwork is ready for payment endorsement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare due diligence reports and compile documentary requirements for check payment clearance.
• Trace and update titles and tax declarations, incorporating the latest information after transfers.
• Identify critical issues and determine additional documents needed from sellers to finalize sales.
• Draft and consolidate legal documents such as offers to buy, contracts of sale, deeds, special powers of attorney, and various affidavits.
• Handle ad‑hoc legal tasks beyond routine due diligence work.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar.
• 2–3 years of practicing law, preferably with a reputable law school background.
• Proven experience in land acquisition due diligence and tax declaration verification.
• Demonstrated sense of urgency, adaptability, and professional maturity.
