Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

J&T Express Philippines is seeking a full‑time Legal Counsel to lead its legal operations in Cagayan De Oro City. The role involves overseeing corporate and commercial legal matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic legal advice to support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review, revise, and standardize contract templates and internal policies for legal compliance.
• Develop and implement equity and corporate structure frameworks aligned with strategic goals.
• Lead complex commercial transactions, including M&A, investments, financing activities, and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide legal support on corporate matters and execute special projects assigned by J&T Group Headquarters.
• Maintain the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling legal and corporate matters.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in law with knowledge of local, national, and international legal standards.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and other legal documents.
• Strong background in legal consulting and compliance implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; Juris Doctor or equivalent preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in the Philippines.
• Excellent analytical, detail‑oriented, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative work.
