Last Mile Lead

About the role

The Last Mile Lead is responsible for overseeing daily final‑mile delivery operations for both B2B and B2C customers. This role bridges warehouse activities and the end customer, ensuring orders are delivered safely, quickly, and cost‑effectively while meeting key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day last‑mile deliveries from the fulfillment centre to achieve on‑time delivery targets and high success rates.
• Control cost targets for last‑mile shipments and keep the fulfillment centre within budget.
• Plan and optimise delivery routes and area coverage to maximise density and reduce idle time.
• Liaise with the distribution centre and other business functions to ensure alignment across operations.
• Standardise internal processes that support operational requirements and report metrics to senior management.
• Identify future fulfilment site needs and develop mid‑to‑long‑term expansion plans.
• Spot innovation opportunities that improve efficiency and customer experience.
• Manage 3PL partners, conduct performance reviews, monitor SLA adherence, and enforce regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience overseeing last‑mile delivery operations for B2B and/or B2C environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage third‑party logistics (3PL) partners and meet KPI targets such as On‑Time Delivery and Cost Per Shipment.
• Strong analytical mindset for route optimisation and cost control.
• Excellent coordination skills to align warehouse, logistics, and business functions.
