Junior Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

The Junior Corporate Legal Counsel will support the company's litigation, dispute resolution and contract management functions. This role involves handling land acquisition due diligence, title transfers, and ensuring compliance with the Anti‑Money Laundering Act for a real‑estate development business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans for current and anticipated litigation, including risk analysis and mitigation.
• Coordinate with external law firms, manage relationships, and control legal costs.
• Draft, review and negotiate a variety of contracts such as lease agreements, NDAs, and service provider contracts.
• Prepare demand letters, pleadings and other legal documents, and represent the company in court or quasi‑judicial bodies.
• Implement remedial actions for defaulting lessees, including padlocking, utility cut‑offs and repossession.
• Travel to project sites to resolve boundary issues, eject illegal occupants and conduct fact‑finding for adverse claims.
• Support AMLA compliance activities and ensure proper documentation for land acquisition processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree – Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws.
• Member of the Philippine Bar Association in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of combined experience in a law firm and in‑house counsel role within real‑estate development.
• Strong knowledge of land acquisition and title transfer procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Willingness to report to the office and travel to project locations as needed.
