Java Developer

About the role

Amex GBT is looking for a Java Software Developer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications that support travel services and business operations. You will work on modernizing legacy systems, ensuring cybersecurity compliance, and integrating with vendor APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex programming tasks to migrate legacy systems to a Java environment and ensure cybersecurity compliance.
• Diagnose, isolate, and resolve software issues, monitor system capacity, and maintain connectivity to vendor APIs.
• Create software documentation, architecture diagrams, and adhere to development standards and security requirements.
• Develop and enhance functionality using Java, C#, jQuery, AJAX, React, and SQL Server, and support disaster recovery procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Java frameworks and 2+ years with jQuery, AJAX, and React.js.
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
