IT Support Engineer – Retail & Infrastructure

About the role

The IT Support Engineer provides technical support and maintenance for retail store systems, office technology, end‑user devices, and overall IT infrastructure. Acting as the primary on‑site IT resource, the engineer ensures the availability and reliability of critical systems such as Point‑of‑Sale (POS), weighing scales, payment devices, networks, and workstations.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and configure PC workstations for employees, adhering to company IT security policies.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot POS devices, weighing scale systems, and related hardware across retail locations.
• Integrate sales data with ERP systems, perform end‑of‑day processing, and monitor background jobs for pricing and replenishment.
• Support network infrastructure on‑site, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Provide onsite and remote technical assistance for stores, warehouses, and overseas supporting businesses, including VPN connectivity.
• Install and manage digital signage, handheld inventory devices, and label printers to enhance customer and operational experience.
• Assist with business meetings and conferencing solutions via online channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or enterprise IT support environments.
• Ability to work on‑site with minimal downtime and respond to after‑hours incidents.
• Familiarity with company IT security policies and data protection standards.
