IT Staff – Technical Support & Systems Specialist

About the role

The IT Staff member will support the organization’s technology environment by installing, maintaining, and repairing computer hardware and software. You will act as a primary point of contact for staff‑generated technical requests, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, modify, and perform minor repairs on computer hardware and software systems.
• Resolve tickets, troubleshoot technical and process issues, and maintain productivity.
• Test computer components and evaluate compatibility of new programs with existing systems.
• Assist in network design and implementation, and consult users on appropriate hardware and software solutions.
• Prepare and place orders for hardware and software, and evaluate vendor‑supplied software.
• Install necessary applications, train users via tutorials, manuals, and videos, and document updates.
• Perform performance tuning for software, networks, and databases.
• Stay current with technical advancements through workshops and professional publications.
