IQC Inspector – Pumps

About the role

The IQC Inspector will ensure that all incoming raw materials, components, and finished pump products meet Coherent's quality standards. Working in a cleanroom and office environment, you will perform inspections, testing, and documentation to support the company's commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, components, and products using visual, functional, mechanical, and chemical tests.
• Measure physical attributes with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Record inspection results, maintain accurate logs, and report findings to QA, engineering, or procurement teams.
• Identify, escalate, and handle non‑conforming items, supporting root‑cause analysis and proper segregation.
• Maintain the MRB system, ensuring hold tags and locations are correctly applied.
• Participate in preventive maintenance, calibration of equipment, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• At least second‑year college education.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Quality Inspector in a related field.
• Strong understanding of quality principles and cleanroom working conditions.
• Good time‑management, initiative, interpersonal communication, and dependability.

Required skills

• Use of calipers, micrometers, and gauges for precise measurements.
• Conducting visual, functional, mechanical, and chemical inspections.
• Material sampling and defect identification.
• Documentation of inspection results and reporting.
