Industrial Engineer II

About the role

STMicroelectronics is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to support capacity planning, equipment management and investment analysis across its manufacturing sites. The role focuses on optimizing production capacity, ensuring timely equipment delivery, and driving efficiency improvements in a high‑tech semiconductor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform capacity analysis using CCRP, considering volume mix, package complexity and machine capability.
• Calculate equipment and tooling requirements, identify excesses or shortages, and propose equipment bagging or shutdown.
• Provide equipment cost allocation, support mid‑term headcount and layout planning, and release monthly capacity and saturation assessments.
• Drive capacity improvement initiatives such as UPH, utilization and efficiency enhancements to reduce capital spend.
• Monitor equipment delivery, qualification, and setup; ensure timely PR/PO issuance for ramp‑up projects.
• Assess investment options, justify equipment transfers, and follow up on CAR approvals.
• Support cost‑center creation, equipment inventory allocation, depreciation analysis and processing time establishment.
• Generate monthly BEMT reports, MCRP reports and capacity charts.

Required profile

• Experience in capacity planning and analysis within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of equipment cost allocation and investment justification.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams to improve output, utilization and efficiency.
• Familiarity with reporting tools for capacity and performance metrics.
