In-House Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Join the Core Business Services team as an In-House Legal Counsel, supporting SGV & Co.'s business enablement functions. You will provide high‑quality legal services across commercial contracts, procurement, and regulatory matters while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assist in the delivery of legal services for client engagement and procurement agreements.
• Develop a deep understanding of the business and risk‑management framework.
• Build relationships with the General Counsel team, Risk Management, and service‑line quality leaders.
• Provide technical legal advice on commercial contracts, disputes, governance, professional indemnity insurance, regulatory and corporate matters.
• Contribute to strategic planning and development of the GCO function.
• Potentially manage high‑value/complex contracts, advise on public policy, and develop practices in transaction management, corporate governance, IP asset management, and restructuring.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor program; new lawyers are encouraged to apply.
• Preferable knowledge of the professional‑services industry and its regulatory framework.
• Preferable experience with technology contracts, data privacy, and intellectual property.
• Solutions‑oriented with strong execution focus and personal responsibility.
• Dynamic, resourceful, team‑player interested in a evolving regulatory and business landscape.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
