In-House Lawyer

About the role

The company is looking for a strategic legal partner to protect its assets, enable business transactions and ensure ongoing compliance. The successful candidate will provide fast, commercially‑sound counsel that balances risk with opportunity across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and close commercial, vendor, client, NDA, employment and lease agreements while partnering with Procurement, Sales and HR.
• Represent the company in labor cases, civil disputes, regulatory hearings and arbitration; coordinate with external counsel for litigation and aim for early settlements.
• Provide practical legal advice on contracts, data privacy, labor law, licensing and new projects; monitor regulatory updates from SEC, DOLE, BIR and NPC.
• Identify legal risks in M&A, product launches and other initiatives; maintain a legal risk register and company policies; conduct compliance trainings.
• Manage the contract repository, board resolutions, secretary’s certificates and other legal documents; support board meetings and regulatory filings.

Required profile

• LLB degree and passed the Bar.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant legal experience; in‑house experience is an advantage.
• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to explain legal risk in plain English to non‑lawyers.
• Experience handling labor cases and dealing with Philippine government agencies.
