Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through immaculate cleanliness and visual standards across all onboard areas. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, the manager leads a team to ensure premium service that is both seamless and memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations, guaranteeing rooms and public spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Train, coach, and develop supervisors and crew members, fostering a positive work environment and strong floor presence.
• Manage inventory, budgeting, and cost‑containment initiatives, including ordering supplies and tracking expenses.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, proper chemical handling, personal protective equipment usage, and job safety analyses.
• Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement quality‑service improvements.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years progressive housekeeping management experience, preferably in upscale hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and equipment handling.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using industry software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
• Basic computer and internet navigation skills.
