Home-Based Accounting Manager

About the role

The Home-Based Accounting Manager will support day‑to‑day accounting operations for a growing business. You will lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and collaborate with operations and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and year‑end close, delivering timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain the general ledger, prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
• Oversee payroll accounting, tax reporting coordination, and benefit accruals.
• Manage treasury functions including bank reconciliations, positive pay, borrowing‑base reporting, and cash monitoring.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable activities performed by an outsourced platform.
• Prepare specialized bank and board reports, including borrowing‑base certificates.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, weekly cash‑flow projections, and ad‑hoc financial analysis.
• Support external audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable/receivable or general accounting.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to work overnight/graveyard shifts in Philippine time or within US operating hours.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Experience with accounting software and database tools.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
