About the role

The Head of Facilities will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of all facilities within a large healthcare organization. This senior position leads a dedicated facilities management team, ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant environment for employees and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of all physical assets across multiple locations.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve facility performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations specific to the healthcare sector.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and supervise service delivery.
• Monitor and control the facilities budget, driving cost‑effective operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the facilities team to maintain high performance standards.
• Create and execute preventive maintenance plans for all assets.
• Respond to emergency situations promptly to minimise disruption.

Required profile

• A degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing multiple facilities, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
