Head of Business Improvement

About the role

The leading commercial bank is seeking a senior executive to drive enterprise‑wide process transformation. Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Business Improvement will shape the bank’s operational excellence agenda, redesign core processes and embed continuous‑improvement practices to boost efficiency, reduce risk and elevate the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the bank’s process improvement strategy and build a high‑performing improvement team.
• Develop, document and maintain a comprehensive process framework and Process Universe.
• Partner with business leaders to redesign and optimise processes across all divisions.
• Establish process ownership, governance and continuous‑improvement mechanisms.
• Create process heatmaps, dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance, error rates and straight‑through processing.
• Lead automation and digital‑transformation initiatives to minimise manual work.
• Facilitate the Operational Excellence Forum and champion a culture of improvement sprints and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement or project management within a financial institution.
• Professional certification in Six Sigma, Kaizen or similar continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise‑wide process transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder, project and change‑management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and English communication skills.
