Government Relations Officer

About the role

The Government Relations Officer will act as the primary liaison between the company and key Philippine government agencies that oversee language, communications, education, and digital services. This role promotes the firm’s expertise in translation, interpretation, localization, and multilingual communication to public institutions and supports strategic public‑sector partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with agencies such as DTI, DICT, CHED, TESDA, and NPC.
• Represent the company in government and public‑sector engagements, including tenders and procurement processes.
• Identify and develop collaboration opportunities with government bodies, public universities, and international development organisations.
• Support proposal preparation and partnership development for government procurement programmes.
• Represent the firm in industry associations related to outsourcing, translation, and language technology.
• Provide regular policy briefings and updates to headquarters on regulatory developments affecting the language‑services sector.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Linguistics, Communications, Law, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, public‑sector partnerships, or regulatory affairs.
• Established relationships with Philippine government agencies involved in education, digital services, or outsourcing.
• Strong understanding of Philippine government structures, procurement processes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with data‑privacy regulations, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
