Global Onsite Lab Project Manager

About the role

SGS is seeking a Global Onsite Lab Project Manager to lead the financial modelling, proposal development and execution of new and existing onsite laboratory projects worldwide. You will act as the primary liaison between clients, regional teams and operating affiliates to ensure successful design, construction and startup of laboratory facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and assess financial models and proposals for onsite laboratory opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional and country staff to obtain technical and operational sign‑off.
• Prepare technical proposals and tender submissions, and negotiate with clients.
• Coordinate scheduling, design, build, renovation and expansion projects with local operating teams.
• Monitor laboratory equipment procurement to meet global standards and project timelines.

Required profile

• University degree in Science or Engineering, preferably in Geosciences (Geology, Mining, Mineralogy, Soil Science, etc.).
• Professional experience in a geosciences‑related field with exposure to business or personnel management.
• Strong knowledge of the mining and minerals industry.
• Excellent time‑management, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work irregular or extended hours to support global teams.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
