General Ledger Supervisor – Accounting Team Lead

About the role

The General Ledger Supervisor leads a team responsible for fixed assets and general ledger accounting. The role involves reviewing staff work, providing coaching, and ensuring timely, accurate financial output while handling statutory and regulatory compliance for assigned entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger for assigned entities and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Oversee month‑end close activities, post journal entries, and prepare P&L analysis and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Review and validate daily transactions, including fixed assets and prepaid items, with complete supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with other departments to verify transactions and understand business rationale.
• Maintain internal controls, audit‑ready records, and statutory compliance.
• Support external auditors by providing schedules, analyses, and timely responses.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from a reputable university.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounts payable, general accounting, or audit.
• Supervisory experience or strong leadership potential.
• Fluent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to work onsite in Vertis North, Quezon City.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with Oracle accounting system.
• Familiarity with SAP Ariba.
• Use of automated expense‑management tools.
