General Ledger Accountant (Nightshift)

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will work night shifts to support Dole's finance function, ensuring accurate journal entries and timely financial reporting across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Record journal entries in SAP and perform weekly sanity checks for accuracy.
• Issue intercompany debit notes, reconcile intercompany balances, and resolve reconciling items.
• Conduct periodic and quarterly account reconciliations, clearing aged items and addressing discrepancies.
• Prepare financial and management reports, including balance sheets, income statements, tax reports, IFRS reports, and inventory aging reports.
• Maintain process documentation, execute business continuity plans, and identify improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification is a plus.
• At least 3 years of general accounting, financial, and management reporting experience.
• Highly detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision in a high‑pressure environment.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.

Required skills

• SAP application experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, taxation laws, and SOX compliance.
• Experience with consolidation tools.
