General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of QIMA's financial records. You will be responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, fixed‑asset management, and supporting month‑end close activities while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments and re‑classifications.
• Perform balance‑sheet account and bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies.
• Manage fixed assets in NetSuite, run depreciation and prepare FAM reconciliations.
• Prepare cash‑flow reports and compare actual cash to forecasts.
• Support local and group audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies (IFRS, US GAAP).
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects, ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a Big 4 audit environment or shared‑services setting.
• Strong analytical, reporting and communication abilities.
