General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will deliver timely, high‑quality financial services to internal Dover customers in Cebu. You will ensure accurate recording, analysis, and reporting of financial results while supporting month‑end and year‑end close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Process journal entries, allocations, and period‑end adjustments.
• Perform balance‑sheet account reconciliations and sub‑ledger variance analysis.
• Post and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Consolidate data and streamline general‑ledger processes.
• Manage fixed‑asset lifecycle, including additions, capitalizations, retirements, disposals, depreciation calculations, and ledger reconciliation.
• Handle cash‑management activities and related reconciliations.
• Provide audit support for internal and external audits.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives and collaborate with Shared Services leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Management Accounting; CPA preferred.
• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS, fixed‑asset, cash‑management, and intercompany accounting.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with strong attention to detail.
• Professional skepticism, customer focus, and ethical conduct.

Required skills

• Proficiency with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros).
• Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint and web‑based applications.
• Six‑sigma training (a plus).
