General Construction Foreman

About the role

The General Construction Foreman leads on‑site construction crews, ensuring daily activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications. This hands‑on leader balances supervision with active participation in construction tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct construction workers on‑site.
• Perform hands‑on construction tasks alongside the crew as needed.
• Assign daily work, monitor productivity and quality.
• Ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Inspect ongoing work and uphold quality standards.
• Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on‑site construction issues.
• Train and mentor workers on proper methods and safety procedures.
• Maintain daily records of site activities, attendance, and progress.
• Communicate updates, concerns, and resource needs to management.
• Assist in site preparation, installation, repair, and related activities.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Support project completion within timelines and budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction work with supervisory or foreman experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
• Physically capable of performing manual construction work.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced construction environment.
