Full‑time Onsite Accountant

About the role

Smartsourcing is looking for a full‑time, onsite Accountant to own the end‑to‑end accounting cycle for its busy finance function. You will be responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly processes, from journal entries to group P&L and audit‑ready reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Execute transactional processing, month‑end and year‑end close, and post journals (accruals, pre‑payments, amortisation).
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, process monthly depreciation and handle asset additions, disposals and adjustments.
• Prepare accurate monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Compile group Profit & Loss statements and produce audit‑ready reports.
• Perform intercompany, levy and gift‑voucher reconciliations.
• Assist with GST, BAS, PAYG, FBT and income‑tax compliance and lodgement.
• Support the Finance Controller and Senior Financial Accountant with ad‑hoc requests and system improvements.
• Contribute to AI readiness and digital enablement initiatives while adhering to data‑privacy policies.
