Fraud Audit Specialist

About the role

The Fraud Audit Specialist is responsible for conducting fraud investigations, special reviews, and fact‑finding engagements to assess fraud risks, gather evidence, and identify control weaknesses.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate fraud investigations, continuous auditing, and monitoring by defining scope, objectives, and procedures.
• Conduct interviews, data analysis, testing, and evidence‑gathering to assess financial, operational, and transactional risks.
• Identify fraud indicators, potential schemes, control weaknesses, and root causes.
• Prepare investigation workpapers, reports, and recommendations, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to strengthen internal controls and mitigate fraud risks.
• Participate in fraud risk assessments, process improvement initiatives, and fraud awareness activities.
• Coordinate with business units to discuss findings, corrective actions, and validate implementation of agreed plans.
• Ensure investigations comply with approved methodologies, internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining confidential documentation.
• Escalate significant risks, findings, and control weaknesses to the Senior Auditor and provide status updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Internal Audit, Legal Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFE, CIA, CAMS, or equivalent are preferred.
• At least two years of relevant experience in fraud investigation, internal audit, risk management, compliance, forensic review, or related assurance functions, preferably in financial services.
• Basic understanding of fraud investigation, fraud risk indicators, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical, interviewing, documentation, and report‑writing skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Cebu.
