Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will join Vestas’ Finance Shared Services Centre, reporting to the Finance team. The role ensures the accuracy, integrity and timely recording of financial data across entities, while complying with Vestas Financial Guidelines and relevant accounting standards. Collaboration with Group Reporting, Tax, SSC Finance Operations and Business Finance is essential to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end closing, ensure compliance with group accounting policies and perform in‑depth legal entity reviews for data integrity.
• Provide balance‑sheet and profit‑and‑loss analysis, prepare performance commentaries and support decision‑making.
• Act as the primary contact for Regional CFOs, conduct pre‑close meetings and coordinate with AP, Order‑to‑Cash, Record‑to‑Report, FP&A and Business Finance teams.
• Maintain internal controls, respond to consolidation queries and audit requests, and ensure proper documentation for group and local audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, MBA, CIA, RCA or CTT are a plus.
• 8‑10 years of finance experience, preferably with a Big 4 audit background and exposure to shared‑services environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or GAAP and experience with SAP, S/4 Hana and SAP‑BI.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with Power BI, SAP, SAP‑BI, S/4 Hana and other data‑mining or macro tools.
