Financial Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Finance & Accounting lead to own financial reporting, cash‑flow forecasting, multi‑location inventory accounting and process design as we roll‑out a new Odoo ERP system. Working closely with the CFO, you will ensure accurate, timely financial information while handling AR/AP and budgeting responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, account reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Simplify and standardise accounting processes to improve accuracy and reporting cadence.
• Manage cash flow, AR/AP and produce rolling cash‑flow forecasts, flagging and explaining variances.
• Own manufacturing and inventory accounting, including standard costing, variances, reconciliations and valuation.
• Support ERP implementation: define accounting requirements, map processes and validate data flows.
• Create and maintain process documentation and SOPs for financial and manufacturing workflows.
• Produce custom reports and dashboards to support management decisions.
• Maintain full transaction records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external CPA/bookkeeper for tax filings, audits and compliance.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial analysis and recommendations to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably in a controller or senior accounting role.
• Experience with fully integrated ERP systems (Odoo, NetSuite or similar) and manufacturing accounting.
• Strong process orientation, attention to detail and ability to document and enforce controls.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize multiple requests and collaborate with operations teams.
