Financial Controller – Hospitality/Restaurant

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead outsourced accounting operations for a fast‑growing hospitality and restaurant business. Working remotely, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and inventory integrity across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, review financial statements and reconciliations, and produce clean, reviewed financials for corporate leadership.
• Manage inventory accounting entries, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate corrective actions with operational teams.
• Maintain fixed‑asset schedules, record additions, disposals, and depreciation accurately.
• Prepare and review journal entries for accruals, depreciation, and operational accounting activities.
• Complete and review sales & use tax, excise tax, food & beverage tax, and shipping/distribution regulatory filings on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Ensure all regulatory documentation is organized, supported, and submitted before deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, month‑end close, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong background in inventory and fixed‑asset accounting within a multi‑unit environment.
• Ability to lead and coordinate an outsourced accounting team.
