Financial Control Associate, Insto Ex-Markets

About the role

The Financial Control Associate joins the Manila Finance team, which safeguards the integrity of ANZ's financial information through accounting, financial control, reporting and balance sheet control activities. The role sits in the Financial Control community of practice and supports a broad range of businesses and portfolios, ensuring strong governance, effective controls, regulatory compliance and accurate, timely financial information. It is based at Solaris One Building, Legaspi Village, Makati City, and is permanent and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Support the finance function by delivering accounting and reporting services to onshore teams, providing accurate and timely financial and local regulatory information and meeting reporting obligations.
• Manage end-to-end centralized, country-agnostic processes such as journals and reconciliations.
• Develop process expertise across statutory and reporting centre of excellence functions, ensuring quality at source through strong process-level controls.
• Support centralized data sourcing, accounting and reporting for in-country finance teams, and own centralised, standardised processes and controls within the Insto team.
• Deliver timely month-end outputs including registers, schedules, reconciliations and trial balances, ready for financial reporting and audits.
• Support the business unit change agenda, including simplification, automation and elimination of manual activities, in partnership with the FSDI team.

Required profile

• Graduate of Accounting, Finance and Commerce or equivalent degree.
• Preferably a Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA with proven experience in finance services roles.
• Solid working knowledge of financial control in a financial services environment.
• Experience presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions, to stakeholders.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Required skills

• Experience with automation, data analytics or digital tools such as Python, KNIME, VBA, Power BI or Alteryx is highly desirable.
