Financial Accountant – Night Shift (Hybrid Baguio / Onsite Cebu)

About the role

Emapta is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its global finance team. Working the night shift, you will handle full‑cycle accounting tasks, support month‑end close, and turn accurate numbers into actionable business insights while collaborating with colleagues across Baguio and Cebu.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of all journal entries.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing financial statements in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support compliance activities and audit preparation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insight for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of local or international financial accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and/or GAAP.
• Ability to work night shift and adapt to a hybrid (Baguio) or onsite (Cebu) work model.
• CPA qualification is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and financial analysis.
• Hands‑on experience preparing financial statements, journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
