Finance Trainee – On-the-Job Internship

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented, highly analytical Finance Intern to join Airbus Helicopters Philippines. In this on‑the‑job trainee position you will gain hands‑on experience in financial analysis, core accounting operations, accounts payable and tax support while working closely with senior accountants and the finance manager.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable: review, code and enter vendor invoices, perform 3‑way matching and assist with bi‑monthly payment runs and vendor reconciliations.
• Support tax compliance: prepare schedules for quarterly/annual filings, collect and verify tax forms from vendors and conduct routine tax research on local regulations.
• Assist financial analysis and reporting: analyse income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, build basic financial models and perform variance analysis against budgets.
• Manage data and improve processes: clean and structure financial datasets for month‑end close, identify opportunities to streamline AP workflows and tax documentation using automation tools.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Solid foundation in core accounting principles and basic tax concepts.
• High attention to detail, strong numerical reasoning and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial functions).
• Familiarity with accounting/ERP systems such as SAP.
