Finance Analyst – Tax Compliance

About the role

The Finance Analyst – Tax Compliance will support the company’s tax and regulatory compliance function. The role involves preparing tax returns, assisting with audits, and contributing to tax‑related projects such as the Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) implementation and SAP upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns and regulatory reports within statutory deadlines.
• Support BIR tax audits from receipt of the Letter of Authority through resolution, including responding to requests and preparing reconciliations.
• Prepare reconciliations and documentation for tax cases before the Court of Tax Appeals, disputing identified deficiencies.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day compliance matters and assessment correspondence with the BIR.
• Assist tax workstreams on EOPT implementation and SAP system upgrades.
• Analyze tax implications of dividend declarations and other corporate actions.
• Respond to ad‑hoc tax consultation requests from internal departments.
• Gather and analyse source documents, accounting records and supporting schedules for tax filings and authority responses.
• Draft response packages for external tax consultants to submit to tax authorities.
• Ensure all tax filings are reviewed and approved before submission.

Required profile

• Graduate of BS Accountancy and a Certified Public Accountant.
• External audit experience with a focus on taxation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals and teams at all levels.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Intermediate proficiency in SAP.
