External Manufacturing Business Finance Controller

About the role

The External Manufacturing Business Finance Controller will act as a trusted business partner for the COO area, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the manufacturing function. You will support decision‑making with high‑quality data and help drive continuous improvement across finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain integrity of factory reports and produce high‑quality budgets based on well‑documented assumptions.
• Deliver accurate forecasts, explaining variances with underlying business drivers.
• Provide fact‑based performance reporting and ad‑hoc analysis for the COO and other stakeholders.
• Execute controlling tasks in line with Vestas Financial Guidelines and ensure compliance.
• Update process documentation (SOP) and perform controls and compliance activities.
• Identify and implement improvements, participating in global optimisation projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in accounting, controlling or financial reporting, preferably in a BPO or shared‑service environment.
• Experience working with multicultural stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, presentation and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically SAP and SAP‑BI.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including macros).
• Ability to develop financial models and projections.
