About the role

BETWEEN is looking for an Environmental Specialist to join one of its teams serving a major industrial/automotive client. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining and improving the Environmental Management System while ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting plant sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage the Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001.
• Identify, evaluate and record applicable environmental aspects and requirements.
• Prepare waste and packaging declarations (PEP, EMR, SCRAPs).
• Manage the registration and measurement of atmospheric emissions.
• Calculate the plant’s carbon footprint.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental management standards.
• Experience with waste and packaging reporting (PEP, EMR, SCRAPs).
• Ability to measure and report atmospheric emissions.
• Carbon‑footprint calculation expertise.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations, including ADR.
