About the role

BETWEEN is looking for an Environmental Specialist to join a dedicated team supporting a major industrial/automotive client. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001, ensuring regulatory compliance and contributing to the plant’s sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage the EMS according to ISO 14001 standards.
• Identify, evaluate and document environmental aspects and legal requirements.
• Prepare waste and packaging declarations (PEP, EMR, SCRAPs).
• Maintain the emissions register and perform atmospheric emission measurements.
• Calculate the plant’s carbon footprint and support reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in a similar environmental role.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, waste management, emissions, packaging regulations and ADR.
• Previous experience in the automotive sector.
• Fluent English communication skills.
