Equipment Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve production machinery and facility equipment. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, installing and calibrating new machines, and supporting production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines, equipment, and facility assets.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Install, set up, calibrate, and commission new machines and equipment.
• Modify, fabricate, weld, machine, or repair parts, fixtures, and components to improve performance.
• Conduct routine inspections and monitor machine performance.
• Provide technical support to production lines, respond to breakdowns, and perform line checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, consumables, and supplies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports, equipment logs, and repair documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and 5S workplace practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost equipment reliability and productivity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (technical/vocational graduates welcome).
• 2–3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, machine troubleshooting, or industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Experience in machine installation, setup, calibration, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with fabrication, welding, machining, or equipment modification is an advantage.
• Experience maintaining maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards, preventive maintenance programs, and 5S practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
