Equipment Technician III

About the role

The Equipment Technician III provides essential technical support for test operations, ensuring that all test equipment is correctly set up, maintained, and qualified to meet production requirements. Working under supervision, the technician contributes to equipment reliability, productivity, quality, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Set up test equipment (e.g., Tester, Contactor/Pins, Hardware, Handler) according to production specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) programs on all equipment.
• Support equipment qualification, machine buy‑off, and compliance with operational standards.
• Analyze performance data, conduct investigations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Initiate equipment improvements and modifications based on credible data.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to align equipment performance with strategic business goals.
• Monitor and improve overall equipment effectiveness metrics such as utilization, MTBF/MTTR, availability, efficiency, yield, and quality.

Required profile

• Experience in setting up and maintaining test equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret performance indicators and apply structured problem‑solving methods.
• Strong attention to data accuracy and credibility.
• Capability to work under supervision and coordinate with engineering teams.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with test equipment such as Tester, Contactor/Pins, Hardware, Handler.
