Engineering Manager - Automation

About the role

The Engineering Manager leads and develops a high-performing engineering organization that delivers, supports and continuously improves automation solutions that drive business value across the enterprise. The role builds organizational capability through talent management, coaching, workforce planning, succession planning and leadership development, and works closely with business stakeholders, product, architecture, agile and support partners. It is based in Makati City and is offered in a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• People leadership: build and sustain a high-performing engineering culture, coach and mentor leaders, lead workforce planning, succession planning, talent acquisition and performance management, and foster outcome ownership.
• Engineering excellence: define and improve engineering standards, development practices, quality controls and governance, promote peer reviews and knowledge sharing, and provide technical leadership.
• Power Platform: develop organizational capabilities in Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power Automate, while moving toward intelligent automation and AI-enabled solutions.
• Delivery and operations: plan, execute and manage risks and dependencies, partner with Product Owners on capacity and priorities, and ensure operational stability and effective L3 support.
• Stakeholder partnership: build strong partnerships across business, product, architecture, agile and support teams to remove barriers and strengthen engineering maturity.

Required profile

• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Proven success developing technical leaders and building high-performing engineering organizations.
• Experience leading teams responsible for enterprise automation, workflow automation, low-code/no-code or software engineering solutions.
• Proven experience leading teams delivering Microsoft Power Platform solutions, particularly Power Automate, with enough technical depth to guide engineering decisions and coach technical leaders.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, software development lifecycle practices and modern engineering principles.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Automation Anywhere or comparable enterprise automation platforms.
• Experience with intelligent automation, AI-enabled automation or emerging automation technologies.
• Experience leading automation modernization, workflow transformation or digital transformation initiatives.
