Engineered Wood Products Designer

About the role

The Engineered Wood Products Designer will create accurate layouts, takeoffs, and structural designs for engineered wood systems. Working from the FLB Corporate Center in Cebu, you will support multiple regional branches and act as a technical extension of the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Produce precise EWP layouts, takeoffs, and structural designs using internal and vendor software such as isPlan.
• Develop designs based on defined loads, spans, and project criteria supplied by customers, builders, or engineers of record.
• Ensure all designs comply with manufacturer specifications, software outputs, and applicable building codes.
• Review third‑party designs (e.g., Ezequote) for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Woodgrain standards before release.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and multiple branch locations to align designs with order requirements and delivery timelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, turnaround time, and accuracy, and support standardization across the region.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years documented experience in engineered wood product design or similar structural design roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with isPlan software.
• Experience reviewing and working with Ezequote designs.
