Embedded Android Platform Developer – Android Automotive Connectivity

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Android Platform Developer to design, integrate, and stabilize Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi connectivity on Android Automotive OS (AAOS) and AOSP platforms. The role involves hands‑on development across the Android framework, services, and HAL layers to support automotive infotainment use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi drivers into AOSP/AAOS and configure vendor, supplicant, and hostapd HALs.
• Perform platform builds, flashing, boot validation, and debugging using Android build tools and adb.
• Execute functional bring‑up for standard Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi profiles, modes, and architectures (STA, AP, Wi‑Fi Aware, etc.).
• Enable multi‑user and multi‑display connectivity, developing required services, AIDL interfaces, and platform glue.
• Implement IVI use cases such as concurrent Bluetooth connections, dual‑stream audio, Wi‑Fi hotspot, traffic shaping, and reconnection enhancements.
• Measure and analyze connectivity performance, using tools like Perfetto to address latency and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with architects, testers, and cross‑shore teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with AOSP/Android Automotive platform development.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and hands‑on approach.
