Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Building Services team. The role involves delivering comprehensive electrical designs for a variety of building projects across sectors such as high‑rise, commercial, residential, healthcare and industrial.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design packages including analysis, calculations, reports and detailed drawings in line with GHD procedures and local regulations.
• Create electrical schematics, lighting layouts, power distribution, fire alarm, earthing and lightning protection designs using AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Perform load analysis, short‑circuit, voltage‑drop and cable‑sizing calculations with appropriate software tools.
• Prepare full design documentation – drawings, specifications, schedules and technical reports.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Present design concepts and detailed solutions during concept and schematic design stages.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of electrical design experience, preferably on Middle‑East projects.
• Experience in building services across sectors such as high‑rise, commercial, residential, retail, healthcare, industrial or refurbishment.
• Filipino citizenship or legal right to work in the Philippines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and BIM360.
• Experience using Dialux, Dialux Evo and Amtech Design Pro for lighting and calculations.
• Ability to conduct electrical load, short‑circuit, voltage‑drop and cable‑sizing calculations.
• Knowledge of DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Life and Safety and NFPA standards.
