Education Officer – Learning to Earning Pathways (TA)

About the role

The Education Officer will provide technical, operational and administrative support to UNICEF Philippines’ Education Programme, focusing on flexible learning pathways for out‑of‑school children and youth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating and reporting education initiatives, including the Learning to Earning Pathways (LEaP!) programme.
• Support ICT‑enabled learning initiatives for the Alternative Learning System (ICT4ALS) in collaboration with national and local government partners.
• Coordinate with government agencies such as the National Youth Commission and the Department of Education, civil society organisations and development partners.
• Contribute to programme management, partnership building, knowledge generation and evidence‑based programming.
• Provide technical assistance to strengthen the ecosystem of multiple flexible learning pathways.

Required profile

• Dynamic and highly motivated professional passionate about expanding learning opportunities for vulnerable children and youth.
• Experience working with education programmes, government counterparts and development partners.
• Ability to support programme management and stakeholder coordination under the supervision of an Education Specialist.
